Senior Manager BU Planning - Golf

About the role

Purpose: Drive and implement global supply planning strategies in line with corporate objectives vertically for specific Business Units/Brands. Be the Planning partner, responsible for translating Brand ambitions into tactical requirements. Provide actionable insights, while supporting a Global Planning framework that can be leveraged across all BUs.  Act as the expert and change ambassador for the vertical BU Planning team and constantly look to harmonise and standardize processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead BU IBP drumbeat for BU Golf working with GOPS, own the number to support capability & capacity building for supply base for related BU, identify volume gaps and potential risks in supply with the ultimate goal of ensuring demand plans of the markets can be satisfied in the sell & produce zone
  • Validate if BU strategy is reflected accurately in Sourcing’s seasonal allocation strategy and vice versa, guide development teams to optimize capacity/ capability utilization and support maximum availability performance once production starts
  • Own BU CPR process & tools including derived action plans across functions in close alignment with horizontal BU Planning team
  • Drive production level loading via different measures on a BU level (e.g. Early Buy Ready, BU Make-To-Forecast, product consolidations)
  • Operate within global planning framework (Processes, policies, calendars) while supporting BU specific needs through differentiated services (e.g. exceptional planning processes for collaborations, events).  Develop guidelines and handbooks on these processes/standards and manage their roll-out and implementation across the BUs.
  • Act as the extended arm of Horizontal Team for BU related actions, information requests and others
  • Collaborate, align effectively with BU Planning community, globally, to ensure broad adoption of policies, procedures, and timelines across locations.  On occasion drive the adoption within the BUs.
  • Manage complex, high volume and/or innovative projects partnering with the horizontal BU Planning team and act as a change ambassador for the vertical BU Planning team.
  • Act as the respected expert and change ambassador in your field of play and provide expert support, guidance and training to other vertical planners.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Product related knowledge
  • IBP/S&OP experience a plus
  • Service-minded and consumer/customer oriented in decision taking-process
  • Strong analytical skills and personal presence, with proven ability to interact, influence and convince at senior management level
  • Advanced ability to map and improve processes
  • Ability to work independently under minimal guidance on several projects simultaneously while adhering to a specified deadline
  • Experience with Supply Chain Planning and Execution software applications
  • Advanced IT skills (MS Office) and ability to work with Product Data Management Systems
  • Excellent communication skills e.g. presentation, negotiation, conflict management etc.
  • Fluent in English

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in supply chain management or in the areas of business administration, logistics, planning, information systems from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in supply chain management, operations or planning, preferably in the Accessories, Apparel or Footwear industries
