INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SPECIALIST, Full-time Days

Memorial Community Hospital and Health System (MCH) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist to join our integrated Primary Care team. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with medical professionals to provide holistic care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.

What You’ll Do

As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and families through:
• On-the-spot consultations and crisis interventions
• Behavioral health assessments and brief interventions
• Collaboration with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) to manage mental health and substance use concerns
• Facilitating referrals to community resources and specialty care
• Providing outpatient therapy and follow-up care
• Supporting patients in the Emergency Department as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Education & Licensure:
◦ Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
◦ Active license: LCSW, LMHC, LIMHP, LMFT, or LCP
• Experience:
◦ Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience in mental health, addiction recovery, or related field
• Skills & Attributes:
◦ Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills
◦ Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
◦ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
◦ Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR)
◦ Deep understanding of counseling theories, behavioral management, and cultural factors in mental health
