IT Lead Development Engineer, Service Assurance Systems

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Development Engineer for Service Assurance Systems. As a key leader on our IT team, you will be responsible for system solutions in the area of Service Assurance for repair call center operations including ticketing, automations, provisioning, dispatch avoidance, AHT reduction, and integration with ServiceNow and other systems. In this exciting role, you will be challenged with the opportunity to lead the team in every aspect of the Service Assurance toolset.

As the Lead Development Engineer your responsibilities will include:  
 

• Defining the roadmap, understanding the E2E process in migrating applications from one platform to another, leading the team to achieve business goals, and identifying solutions for any problems that arise
• Leading, architecting, and directing a team of developers (onshore and offshore) to meet business requirements
• Designing, developing, implementing, and supporting the Service Assurance systems at Brightspeed
• Providing deep technical support and hands-on knowledge for full-stack needs of multiple web applications
• Participating in conceiving and designing new workflows and developing standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• Working in an Agile environment and participating in full SDLC, including full-stack development
• Building and supporting Cloud Platform instances needed for Service Assurance systems
• Participating in daily scrum calls, reviewing project progress, identifying issues, risks and blockers with the deliverables and guiding team for the resolution
• Supporting and executing plans for migrating legacy dispatch systems to new Brightspeed systems architecture
• Independently driving a project from inception to production deployment with a strong focus on performance and robustness
• Defining standards and guidelines based on best-practices and ensuring these are followed
• Reviewing, evaluating, and prioritizing new feature requests from business partners and stakeholders
• Debugging and resolving production issues
   

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Full stack development with preferably 2+ years of experience with automation platforms (UI Path RPA, Automate Services, REST / SOAP API development) 
• 5+ years of development experience with various languages and frameworks such as PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, VB.Net
• 5+ years of development experience with Database Technologies like Oracle and MySQL
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker technologies
• Extensive experience driving software design and development for IT systems
• Ability to understand and implement complex technical information
• Collaborative team builder with strong communication skills
• AGILE development experience
• Experience leading solution architecture lifecycle including concept, design, prototyping, integration, testing, and production release 
• Experience working in building telecom solutions
• Experience implementing BPM/Workflow/Orchestration tools 
• The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a laser focus on delivering results 
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional projects 
• The ability to exercise judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
