Job Description

This role is contract to permanent. 

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to our President and Financial Operations team by leveraging advanced data and tools to make predictions about future outcomes. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be versed in analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and making recommendations to management and leadership. The Sr. Financial Analyst will assist the analytics for annual and monthly forecasting. The Sr. Financial Analyst must have strong analytical skills and be extremely detail oriented and organized.   

 

Responsibilities 

  • Forecast budgets including future revenues, and related documentation from analysis of historical data trends and/or with input from Financial Operations/corporate Finance leaders on a regular and ad-hoc basis,  

  • Analyze cost trends in order to correct errors and provide recommendations to increase revenue and profit while minimizing cost variance 

  • Assimilate information from various sources to draw conclusions to effect change in processes, procedures and reporting, and/or theorize downstream impacts  

  • Analyze complex financial data, extracting and defining relevant information using various systems 

  • Prepare and deliver reports and written analysis  

  • Prepare forecasts using program resource estimates and re-baseline programs  

  • Perform situation analysis and make recommendations for problem solving 

  • Conceive solutions, build consensus, and execute on solutions 

  • Perform quantitative analysis, leveraging current and historical data in order to identify trends and forecast events or conditions that should occur 

  • Interpret results of analysis to C-Suite in an effective and efficient way 

  • Handle a wide variety of ad hoc research projects as requested, present research findings and advise on how the research findings should impact business decisions. 

  • Meets with and serves as a go-to resource for C-Suite  

  • Anticipate risk and constraints and proactively work on solutions to address the risk/constraint 

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

· 5+ years of progressively responsible related financial / accounting experience

· Comfortable making decisions, monitoring project progress, recommending alternative approaches and identifying & resolving conflict

· Basic knowledge of the staffing industry, HR practices, and payroll and accounting processes

· Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access/Outlook)

· Proficient in the use of software applications, databases and spreadsheets

· Extensive MS Excel experience (Pivot Tables/ advanced formula development)

· Strong communication skills (with ability to present to C-suite executives on a consistent basis)

· Ability to work independently and perform a high degree of accuracy
