About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Technical Trainer to join the Training and Consulting Services team. As a Technical Trainer, you will deliver training programs for clients who use Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting software products via classroom and virtual sessions.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop and deliver sessions via classroom and virtual sessions, including web-based and seminars to enhance usage of Thomson Reuters' products by leveraging understanding of customer needs.
  • Work with subject matter experts in product development, technical support, sales and marketing to ensure that course content reflects current product features.
  • Support development of course materials, training documentation, or other educational content, as required.
  • Build and maintain client relationships supporting their use and application of Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting products.
  • Provide internal training when necessary to support sales, product support, etc., to drive employee understanding of products/services.
  • Ensure timely follow up to determine applicability of course material and address issues/concerns raised by customers.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on product enhancements and changes.
  • Manage logistics for designated trainings (calendar, registration, attendance tracking, facility set-up, etc.).

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to quickly and effectively deliver additional services
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication (verbal & written), project planning and organization skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, ability to generate innovative approaches and solutions to problems
  • Team player with a flexible attitude and approach.
  • Ability to field questions and control training sessions.
  • Customer service orientation and experience, with proven success in customer support and relationship management.
  • Strong technical/computer skills.
  • Strong industry knowledge (related to particular business unit or product lines); understanding of tax/accounting concepts as they relate to product lines.
  • Professional image and willingness/ability to travel.
  • Willingness to learn additional products and services as needed to meet client demand.
