Summer Intern – Finance and Accounting Leadership Program-Carmel, IN (Onsite)

Job Summary:
As an Allegion Finance and Accounting Leadership Program Intern, you will contribute meaningful work and make a direct impact to the Allegion finance function. You will gain valuable experience in multiple financial disciplines, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, and long-range planning. You will gain exposure to tools like Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power BI. You will interact directly with senior and executive level leadership. What You Will Do:
Work with senior leadership to prepare detailed financial analysis and audit reports to be presented to Allegion’s Executive Leadership Team and the Allegion Board of Directors
Work with the finance team to develop tools and processes to help Allegion’s global finance team eliminate manual work and provide higher levels of analysis and insight to our internal customers
Provide critical review, feedback, and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results to executive leadership
Learn about internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley as you execute audit plans and test internal controls
Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
What You Need to Succeed:
Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus but not required
General understanding of US GAAP
Ability to work in both a team and individual setting
Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly
Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
A desire to learn, grow and develop
