Oracle’s content operations team writes about AI, databases, cloud infrastructure, scientific and analytic computing, cloud-native development, data management, and more. The team explains how technologies are used in business and how they help solve challenges faced by large companies. We are looking for a writer/editor (70/30) who understands the technologies mentioned above, and who can use that knowledge to inspire readers to want to know more. You’ll not only write engaging, well-researched copy, you’ll also suggest graphics and other elements that bring the story to life.
If you understand the difference between parameter-efficient fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation in AI and are eager to explain why business leaders should care, then this job may be for you.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Research the use of new technologies and combinations of technologies and write or edit papers and articles that explain the use and illustrate the business value achievable.
- Interview subject matter experts both inside and outside of Oracle to learn and communicate their unique takes on the application of technology.
- Write ebooks and web-based articles based on agreed-on outlines.
- Contribute to other content mediums, including video scripts, PowerPoints, and social media posts.
- Create SEO- and AI-optimized content based on input from our content discoverability team.
- Assist in special projects or activities as needed.
- Cover events as needed, travel 1 – 3 times per year
Basic qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in English or Journalism or a related field or 5+ years of experience writing content for business technologists and technology buyers.
- 5+ years of experience covering the technology industry.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to create engaging content about highly technical subjects. Applicants may be required to submit URLs to their stories and/or take a short writing test.
- Ability to follow style and usage guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing content based on business needs and requirements.
- Ability to work independently and creatively to complete complex writing assignments on deadline.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
