Senior Software Engineer - Quarkus

<h2>About the job</h2> <p>The Red Hat Quarkus team that collaborates on the evolution of one of the most exciting community projects advancing the state of the art in cloud native Java is looking for a <strong>Senior Software Engineer</strong> to spearhead the development of the <strong>LangChain4j</strong> library used in Quarkus, collaborate with the community in defining its vision and roadmap, extend it to support more functionality and backends, including those typically hosted on Red Hat OpenShift AI, and help with the incorporation into the Quarkus project using the extension mechanism and by introducing the proper SPIs to allow a deeper integration with Quarkus internals. The successful candidate will also help shape an AI strategy for Quarkus.</p> <h2>What you will do</h2> <ul> <li>Work upstream with the LangChain4j and the Quarkus community on the development of the LangChain4j library and the corresponding Quarkus extensions</li> <li>Respond to feature enhancement and bug fixing requests, adhere to project/product roadmaps and deliverables</li> <li>Advocate LangChain4j/Quarkus to the wider Java developer community</li> </ul> <h2>What you will bring</h2> <ul> <li>Proficiency in the Java programming language</li> <li>Excellent understanding of the LangChain4j library and Large Language Model technologies and ecosystem</li> <li>Self-motivated and able to work independently in a distributed, dynamic and multicultural environment with little guidance</li> <li>Professional level of spoken and written English language</li> </ul> <p><strong>Following is considered a plus:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience on cloud native technologies and Kubernetes and/or OpenShift</li> <li>Exposure to open source development and distributed development teams</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in a technical field; engineering or computer science background is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>#LI-MP1</p>
