Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Leader, to lead six Directors across Operating Units (regions) within Global Marketing Procurement (GMP) at Coca Cola. The Directors are responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives and aligning with global marketing procurement productivity plans.

Alongside your senior leadership responsibilities of ensuring the Directors are driving strategic sourcing initiates and aligning with GMP productivity plans, you will also lead an operating unit, ensuring needs are met during multi-region negotiations and leveraging scale.

The goal is for Operating Unit (OU) Directors to collaborate effectively with Towers and local businesses to secure 'fit for purpose' agencies and services, ensuring excellent negotiations, contract management, responsible sourcing, and maximizing ROI. Reporting to the VP Global Marketing Procurement, the candidate will share responsibility for $6bn in marketing spend and be a key partner within the marketing community.

Please note: This is not a remote role and will require the successful candidate to be based in either Atlanta, London or Dublin and follow a hybrid work schedule. This is a People Leader role.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Lead a team of 6 Operating Unit Directors s to manage negotiations, contracts and performance of agencies and suppliers on an OU basis alongside OU focused Tower teams. Manage and align GMP behind productivity projects and targets. 
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams, including Frontline teams, bottlers, legal, OU marketing, and Finance, to ensure business fundamentals are reflected in final agreements. Manage a large and varied portfolio of activities and projects, leading a team autonomously through complex service delivery stages.
  • Ensure thorough approval and analysis documentation according to policy, consolidate deal terms for senior management presentations, and coach the team to become best-in-class negotiation and deal delivery partners. Develop and implement innovative sourcing approaches using analytics to assess scenarios, benefits, risks, and change management impacts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior management across TCCC and bottlers. Achieve alignment with stakeholders to reach mutually beneficial outcomes, develop effective remuneration & ROI models, and ensure maximum value from partnerships.
  • Provide expertise to leverage spend, increase value, and decrease total costs. Analyze industry trends, evolving technology, and supplier competencies to minimize risks, protect supply continuity, and exploit opportunities beneficial to TCCC.
  • Build a central best practice information suite, benchmarking, and cost modeling approach while supporting continuous learning. Leverage total spend across all OUs, developing a global partnership approach for competitive positioning.
  • Identify, classify, maintain, and protect files and sensitive information per record handling and retention requirements. Meet company targets on savings, cash flow, sustainability, and people performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 15+ years of total business experience with wide experience of all elements of marketing procurement is strongly preferred  
  • Strong knowledge in agency management, promotional processes, and budget adherence. Manage a diverse portfolio of relationships and projects across geographies and entities.
  • Ability to understand long-term business implications, balance immediate needs, and synthesize business terms into binding agreements. Evaluate, negotiate, and interpret contractual language to ensure legal protections and agreements benefit the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining contractual obligations and benefits. Analyze and develop contracts to support the Company's strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of the Company's business environment, including industry trends, competitive pressures, sustainability policies, and responsible sourcing requirements. Broad functional knowledge from interactions with various departments and external sources.
  • Capability to work as part of a virtual global team, leveraging collaboration across geographic and organizational boundaries. Use data and robust analytics to model business scenarios, analyze costs, impacts, risks, and benefits, and recommend business solutions.
