Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mid-Level Database Administrator (Oracle and SQL Server) to join our team in the Frederick, Maryland.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Configure and maintain database systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including backup and recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure databases meet application and system requirements.
- Optimize and tune database performance, including query optimization and index management.
- Conduct capacity planning to anticipate database growth and resource needs.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree
- A minimum of (4) four years of experience working as a Database Administrator with the following databases: Oracle, SQL Server
- Proficiency in database management systems
- Strong experience with database design, implementation, maintenance, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFe Agilist or SAFe for Teams certification
- Experience working as a Database Administrator supporting TMIP-J applications
- Experience with DevSecOps
- Relevant certifications in database administration.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
