Senior Staff Accountant - VTRL Accounting - Fontana, CA

What You’ll Do:
The Staff Accountant will support the month-end close process, assist with general ledger accounting, and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. This individual will work closely with operations, billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable teams to maintain a strong internal control environment and contribute to the financial success of the business.

Essential Duties:
• Perform monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis to support decision making.
• Assist with fixed assets (acquisition through disposal), including recording/amortization of debt notes and monthly depreciation
• Collaborate with the billing and A/R and A/P teams to ensure accurate revenue and expense recognition.
• Maintain documentation for audits to ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and systems.
• Provide support to the FP&A team for budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required in the field of finance, accounting or business
• 1-3 years of accounting experience required; lease/rental industry experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft products including Word, Excel and SharePoint
• Experience in the transportation, leasing, or asset-heavy industry is an asset.
• Experience with Procede software a plus
• Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with increasing levels of difficulty.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service
Compensation:
• $36.30-$38.50/hourly depending on experience and qualifications
• Full Time position

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to pass post offer drug test, and physical
