Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Stormwater Environmental Scientist to provide water quality compliance services to Department of Defense (DOD) clients. This is a remote position.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
- Prepare and review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
- Research, review, and analyze water quality policy and regulations.
- Support regulatory compliance tasks relating to stormwater management.
- Review and assess storage tank compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.
- Participate in other environment-related projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education focused on water quality compliance.
- Valid U.S. Driver's license is required for this role.
- Nationwide travel (50% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Water Act
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
- Basic knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD software
- Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to environmental compliance.
Additional Information
- Sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Offered rate of compensation (Texas locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$95,000.00.
