The Associate Principal, Domain Operations will serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, evolving, measuring, and improving the operating model for a defined technology governance domain. This role will provide deep functional expertise in governance operations, advise domain leadership on operational effectiveness, and partner across technology organizations to improve governance practices, artifact stewardship, operational transparency, stakeholder engagement, and execution discipline.

What you will do:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the design, implementation, measurement, evolution, and continuous improvement of a technology governance domain operating model.
  • Lead the development and refinement of governance operating practices, including intake, prioritization, governance cadence, execution tracking, and operational reporting.
  • Own the stewardship approach for the assigned domain, ensuring standards, policies, patterns, guidance, playbooks, decisions, reference materials, and related artifacts are captured, organized, version-managed, reviewed, communicated, and continuously improved.
  • Partner with content owners and subject matter experts to establish effective content lifecycle practices while ensuring accountability for substantive content remains with designated owners.
  • Advise stakeholders on repository organization, documentation quality, communication effectiveness, adoption opportunities, and governance maturity improvements.
  • Develop and enhance operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting that measure governance effectiveness, standards adoption, execution discipline, stakeholder engagement, documentation quality, and operating model performance.
  • Analyze complex governance, prioritization, capacity, execution, documentation, and stakeholder issues to identify operational improvements with broad organizational impact.
  • Recommend governance operating model enhancements, prioritization mechanisms, execution methods, and risk mitigation strategies that improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, platform, delivery, risk, compliance, and other technology organizations.
  • Facilitate governance forums, operational reviews, and stakeholder discussions to promote alignment, transparency, accountability, and timely decision-making.
  • Influence governance practices, operating routines, standards lifecycle adoption, artifact stewardship, process design, and execution discipline across the domain.
  • Independently determine methods and approaches for significant or unique domain operating initiatives while escalating strategic policy, governance ownership, or organizational decisions when appropriate.
  • Identify cross-functional impacts and recommend coordinated solutions that improve governance consistency and operational execution across adjacent technology domains.
  • Mentor Domain Operations Leads, specialists, and other contributors by sharing best practices, governance expertise, and operational knowledge.
  • Contribute to functional strategy by advancing governance maturity, operational excellence, knowledge management practices, and continuous process improvement.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 9 to 12 years of related experience in technology governance operations, architecture or security operations, risk and compliance, platform or data operations, technical program management, technology delivery, or standards and policy enablement.
