Title and Summary

Senior Vice President, Strategic Benefits, Core Payments

Shape the future of Mastercard’s Consumer Products value proposition by leading the design and delivery of core strategic benefits that elevate cardholder experience and drive competitive differentiation.

As part of the Consumer Product and Processing (CPP) function within Core Payments, Cardholder Services is responsible for building and managing benefits carrying a dual mandate to (i) uniquely differentiate Mastercard’s core customer value proposition (CVP) across all card types and (ii) deliver services revenues through the sale of optional benefits. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end execution of new strategic benefits across 3 pillars: travel, dining, entertainment; and potentially expanding into supporting additional strategic categories over time. In the beginning, focus will be especially on the delivery of exclusive airport benefits (travel pillar) and dining benefits.

You will be accountable for the full lifecycle of benefit development, from concept to launch and transition to run mode. This includes identifying and qualifying benefit opportunities, sourcing and negotiating with vendors, designing the product and user experience, building the business case and pricing model, and ensuring successful go-to-market execution. You will also define the long-term roadmap for continued innovation and expansion of the strategic benefits portfolio.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with teams across CPP, Mastercard’s global and regional organizations, and external partners. You will work in close alignment with executive leadership, ensuring strategic clarity and operational excellence throughout the delivery process.

This role is a great mix of high impact strategy, product management, and fast paced project execution that would set you up as successful senior executive in Mastercard.

• Design seamless user experiences and go-to-market strategies that drive adoption and engagement
• Build and refine business cases, pricing models, and financial forecasts to support benefit development and expansion
• Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams including for example technology, sourcing, marketing, and user experience design to ensure integrated execution
• Influence technology and architecture decisions to deliver a scalable, secure, and resilient product, and to deliver product incrementally, starting with a clearly aligned minimum viable product
• Maintain strong feedback loops with executive leadership and working teams to ensure alignment and transparency
• Act as a senior leader within CPP, fostering collaboration, removing and escalating blockers, and driving results across global and regional teams
• Lead and manage a team of talented benefit category leads

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• 10+ years proven track record of delivering strategic projects and launching new products in complex, cross-functional environments
• Customer-centric product development experience

• Clear and compelling communicator, with experience influencing senior executive audiences and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders
• Strong cross-functional mindset with the ability to lead diverse project teams and navigate organizational complexity
