How will you make an impact in this role?

Global Treasury, a segment of the American Express Finance group, is responsible for providing a balance sheet that provides a competitive advantage for the company. This includes managing liquidity and capital to support our business; delivering cost-effective, diverse, and resilient funding; and identifying, measuring, and addressing financial and operational risks.

Global Treasury Operations, a segment of Global Treasury, ensures AXP has the right amount of money, at the right time, in the right place, in the appropriate currency to fulfill its financial obligations when they become due. The Cash Management team is responsible for processing and the control of cash flows across the company.

Responsibilities:

·       Approve and execute cash transfers on a timely basis

·       Manage & forecast American Express’ intraday cash flows to maximize available cash for investing and minimize borrowing costs

·       Be an agent of change. Lead efforts to automate cash processes, improve visibility to cash flows and sharpen control management in the team.

·       M&A and Reverse Repo program support

·       Produce daily & monthly reporting of information to business partners

·       Maintain and update desk operating procedures and support business continuation plans

·       Special projects as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree required

·       2+ years of experience in Treasury

·       Quick learner

·       Extreme attention to detail

·       Ability to multi-task

·       Highly motivated with a positive attitude

·       Works well under pressure

·       Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate processes

·       Strong communication skills

·       Organized

·       Candidate must be able to work independently under strict deadlines in a fast-paced operations environment

·       Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint

·       Knowledge of Automated Treasury Workstation
