Job Description

You are responsible for a fast growing customer base, mostly located on the US west coast. The products are chassis components, like full system brake systems and airbag solutions, both with the corresponding sensors. Customers are mostly OEMs, but for certain products also directed Tier 1.

In this role you are responsible for the entire acquisition management, sales as well as all aspects of project lifecycle management. This involves budget planning and tracking, volume planning, product selection and planning, launch management and more.
You are the direct leader of sales managers and project managers and an indirect leader for the global teams located in Germany and China.
You should be able to travel domestically on a regular basis and also be open for international travel, combined up to 10 weeks per year.

Qualifications

Mandatory

* Bachelors Degree required, a technical degree and/or a masters degree is preferred
* 10+ years of Sales Experience
* 7+ years of experience in the automotive industry (knowledge of products, competition, sales channels)
* strong negotiation skills in writing and verbal
* ability to travel up to 10 weeks per year
* proven track record in high volume and high revenue sales on a global level
* live within commutable distance from the Plymouth MI facility and be available to come into the office weekly (or as required)
