We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator with suitable experience to work full-time in Dahlgren, VA. The program is focused on the integration of specialized information technology and engineering support services capable of system engineering support and software development. This position will be on-site and will require active Top Secret Clearance. 

 

Senior Database Administrator Primary Duties:

• Installing, tuning, securing, applying STIGs and supporting Oracle RDBMSs.
• Troubleshooting skills and debugging Oracle problems.
• Using RAC and Recovery Manager, Oracle OLAP, data warehousing, Oracle Data Guard, Data Masking and OEM grid Control.
• Performing Oracle software new installs, upgrades, and patch application as well as third-party tool installation and configuration.
• Leading or mentoring junior administrators.
• Operating Linux and Windows operating systems and PL/SQL programming and Shell Scripting.

Qualifications

Senior Database Administrator Education and Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a Management Information Systems or Computer Science discipline is required and six (6) years’ technical experience in ORACLE database server administration.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Ten (10) years’ technical experience in developing complex applications
• Six (6) years’ DBA experience installing, tuning, securing, applying STIGs and supporting Oracle RDBMSs.
• Six (6) years’ experience with troubleshooting skills and debugging Oracle problems.
• Six (6) years’ experience in the advanced features such as RAC and Recovery Manager.
• Six (6) years’ experience with Oracle OLAP and data warehousing.
• Six (6) years’ experience of Oracle Data Guard, Data Masking and OEM grid Control.
• Six (6) years’ experience of performing Oracle software new installs, upgrades, and patch application as well as third-party tool installation and configuration.
• Three (3) years’ experience of leading or mentoring junior administrators.
• Three (3) years’ experience in Linux and Windows operating systems and PL/SQL programming and Shell Scripting.
