The Aesthetician is responsible for providing professional skin care treatments and aesthetic services to Med Spa patients in a safe, welcoming, and patient-centered environment. This role supports patient satisfaction, treatment plan compliance, retail product education, and overall Med Spa growth by delivering high-quality aesthetic services while maintaining excellent customer service and clinical standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform aesthetic treatments and skin care services in accordance with Med Spa protocols and state regulations.
Conduct patient consultations and assist with individualized treatment recommendations.
Educate patients on skin care products, treatment plans, and post-treatment care instructions.
Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies in accordance with infection prevention and safety standards.
Document treatments and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
Support patient retention through excellent service and follow-up care.
Collaborate with providers, injectors, nurses, aesthetic coordinators and front desk staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Assist with retail product promotion and sales as appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.
Perform facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, laser hair removal and other approved aesthetic treatments within the scope of practice.
Complete thorough patient assessments and document all services provided.
Educate patients regarding treatment expectations, skincare regimens, and product usage.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and equipment.
Follow all infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and Med Spa safety standards.
Maintain inventory awareness and notify leadership of supply needs.
Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support department operations and scheduling efficiency.
Participate in department meetings, trainings, and ongoing education opportunities.
Assist with promotional events, open houses, or marketing initiatives as requested.
Support onboarding and training of new staff members when applicable.
Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.
Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements.
Demonstrates/models the Network’s PCRAFT values during interactions with all customers.
Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety.
Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices
Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
Other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sit up to 4 hours per day; 2 hours at a time. Stand for up to 6 hours per day; 3 hours at a time. Walk 1 hours per day; 10 minutes at a time. Frequently use hands and fingers to manipulate objects and for computer use. Rare lifting of objects greater than 10 pounds. Must have the ability for hearing as it relates to normal, high and low frequency. Must have the ability for seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Occasionally stoop, bend or reach beyond shoulder level. Occasionally squats, crouches, kneels and climbs. Must have hand/eye coordination.
