Shape what’s next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what’s next for your engineering career.</h2><h2>GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer to help support the JSP ETM-NG program at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.</h2><h2></h2><h2>Selected candidate will support Tuesday - Saturday (6:00am - 2:30pm)</h2><h2></h2><h2>Due to the nature of work this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed and will require full-time onsite support</h2><h2></h2><h2><b>Meaningful work and personal impact:</b></h2><ul><li><h2>The Network Engineer will play a crucial role in driving the success of multiple concurrent efforts.</h2></li><li><h2>Designs, plans, and builds communications networks.</h2></li><li><h2>Configure routers and switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.</h2></li><li><h2>Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.</h2></li><li><h2>Monitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies.</h2></li><li><h2>Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.</h2></li><li><h2>Plans for implementation of enhancements.</h2></li><li><h2>Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.</h2></li><li><h2>Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.</h2></li><li><h2>Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.</h2></li><li><h2>Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.</h2></li><li><h2>Creates plans and configure systems for data communication networks.</h2></li><li><h2>Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.</h2></li><li><h2>Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.</h2></li><li><h2>Designs and builds the hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.</h2></li><li><h2>Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced network personnel.</h2></li></ul><h2></h2><h2><b>What you’ll need to succeed (Required):</b><br/>Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer must have:</h2><ul><li><h2><b>Education:</b> Bachelor’s Degree. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in leu of degree.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Experience:</b> 5+ years of related experience.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Security clearance level:</b> Active Top Secret required with the ability to obtain SCI.</h2></li><li><h2><b>Certifications: </b>Current IAT Level II certification required.
