Responsibilities:
Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
Accounting and Financial Management:

- Responsible for international financial data and supporting documentation review from international offices.
- Complete analysis of monthly international office balance sheet transactions and reconciliations.
- Review international office bank accounts, statements and prepare reconciliations.
- Review and monitor international office P&L and balance sheet accounts, transaction activity and reporting.
- Transfer monthly costs from the international office into AIR’s Costpoint accounting system after a detailed review.
- Lead financial close activities between international accounts and Costpoint at the home office.
Financial Reporting:

- Consolidate supporting documentation packages for monthly international office financial reports submission to General Accounting ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assist international office financial staff with VAT, Transfer Pricing, Management Invoices, and all other intercompany recording and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and financial policies.
- Prepare foreign currency conversions, exchange rate calculations and revaluations.
- Manage internal and external audits.
Business Partner Support:

- Guide international office finance staff on accounting questions and requests.
- Deliver customer service to assist with decision making
- Train international office accounting staff on the accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain detailed financial documentation.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or economics.
- Demonstrated experience in finance, cost accounting and budgeting.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including financial management of USAID grants and contracts.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium Entities (IFRS for SMEs), Agency for International Development Acquisition Regulations (AIDAR) and various contract types, agreements, and grants, preferred, but not required.
