Head of Data & AI Science

The volume of data and the opportunities of AI within NN are expanding at an unprecedented pace. To unlock their full value, we are looking for a visionary and hands-on Head of AI & Data Science based in Prague who will set the strategy, drive innovation and lead a high-performing international team.

You will spearhead the creation of a single, trusted AI & Data platform across our international businesses, turning advanced analytics into tangible business outcomes and ensuring AI solutions are scalable, reusable and fully aligned with NN’s strategy.

What you will do

• ​Design and deliver AI/ML solutions, taking full responsibility for technical components and strategic alignment.

• ​Support strategic priorities of international business units in acquisition, retention, sales and operational efficiency by leveraging data and AI.

• ​Drive data enablement, engineering, governance and quality initiatives to secure trusted, accessible and high-quality data for AI solutions.

• ​Manage and prioritise work across managers and senior experts, implementing efficient processes that ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

• ​Select best-in-class technologies (Azure, Databricks, Kubernetes, etc.) and promote modern AI/ML architectures and development practices.

• ​Inspire new AI-driven use cases and maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to align expectations and objectives.

• ​Build a collaborative, high-performance culture and encourage cross-functional cooperation and innovation.

• ​Represent AI & Data Science within the NN Digital Hub management team and contribute to cross-Hub initiatives.

What you bring

• ​Proven strategic leadership in AI & Data Science with 5+ years in senior management roles.

• ​Deep expertise in AI/ML algorithms (GenAI, LLMs, RAG, agentic frameworks) and advanced Python programming.

• ​Hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks and Kubernetes for scalable development and deployment.

• ​Strong background in data engineering, pipelines, integration and data quality management.

• ​Track record of delivering AI solutions into production; insurance experience is an advantage.

• ​Exceptional communication skills in English and the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
