We need a diverse workforce to do our best work.  We need the makers, the forward thinkers, the problem solvers, and everything in between.  That is where you come in.  We are looking for an Automation Engineering Team Lead in our Milwaukee Manufacturing location who will be responsible for providing immediate supervision to a team of approximately 10 engineers and technicians.

Job Summary:

Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Lead engineering team in releasing new processes, update and improve processes as well as supporting NPI. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company processes including safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

This position provides leadership and strategic framework for the engineering group, acting as a trusted leader and advisor to the engineering team and assisting in removing obstacles that could potentially disrupt supply to our manufacturing plant, becoming actively involved as necessary to meet production and productivity goals. This role also provides direction to employees, exercising judgment within procedures and policies to determine appropriate resolution for a variety of issues. This is a role well suited for those looking to continue developing their supervisory expertise as the next step in their people leader career.

This position is responsible for directing the development and implementation of engineering goals in safety, quality, customer delivery, and financial improvement. Assisting in development of capacity plans and output forecasts based upon complex customer demand trends and variable labor content per production order is critical to the role, developing and executing engineering resource planning in a high product mix, highly flexible and customized manufacturing processes.
