Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in industrial engineering and robotics engineering to the Project Integration team
  • Review engineering deliverables of Project Integration and initiate appropriate actions
  • Perform quality control of the Project Integration work of engineering projects within scope
  • Ensure that the company's proprietary modular technology tool is operating as expected
  • Collaborate with other engineers, departments, and project managers to ensure the company's proprietary programming tools are up to date to meet customer needs
  • Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets
  • Recommend allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
  • Monitor performance and report on metrics of engineering projects
  • Assure that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines
  • Facilitate communication among clients/customers and engineers and ensure that deadlines are clearly communicated and understood
  • Collaborate with other engineers and project managers and other departments to coordinate the projects’ deliverables and allocation of resources
  • Play a key role in building the team and supporting the technical training and onboarding process of new team members
  • Supervise of seven (7) subordinate employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics) or the foreign equivalent and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • Experience managing engineering teams in an international context
  • Knowledge of:
    • mechanical, industrial, and electrical engineering
    • the quality control process for engineering projects
    • the development and/or integration of automated material handling solutions in the intralogistics sector
    • the growth and development of Engineering groups
  • National and international travel required approximately 10% of the time for training
