Cloud Data Administrator

 

Exiger  is seeking a Cloud Data Administrator that focuses on working with Exiger's software and third-party data and cloud computing services. You will work with our client and research & development teams to increase the impact our solutions have made in making the world a safer and more transparent place to succeed.  

The individual performing this role will specialize in the following: designing and structuring databases for use in multiple Exiger products; Leading efforts to organize and maintain data ingest operations; Creating data flows and technical requirements documents; Assisting the implementation process with technical items; Assisting product development by advising on data requests from clients and prospects to the Development Team; Providing expertise in data usage with Exiger software; Providing expertise and oversight to database configuration and access workflows; and Integrating with client and third-party applications using product APIs and custom technical solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Identify the various aspects of compute and storage management.
• Review Snowflake and Redshift best practices & considerations for managing load operations and performance.
• Implement data governance in Snowflake & Redshift, including column-level data security using secure views and dynamic data masking features.
• Illustrate administrative tasks within the detailed architecture.
• Design and implement high-performing and highly-available Snowflake and Redshift data warehouse solutions.
• Lead data integration and ingest activities.
• Serve as a main point of contact for database-related technical issues and requests coming from internal teams and customers.
• Design and develop secure access to objects through robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Use data replication for data sharing across accounts and for failover scenarios.
• Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Work closely with Application Architects and various Application teams who are responsible for interfaces to backend data.

Professional Experience Required

• 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and database administration
• Certified Snowflake Administrator certification
• Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling principles
• 3+ years' experience executing technical discovery, design, and integration deliverables for various platforms and systems
• Experience with Data Warehouses, specifically Snowflake, Redshift
• Proven project management and superior communication skills
• Experience in developing product APIs and integrating complex systems
• Proficiency with Docker/Kubernetes containers

This is a full-time hybrid opportunity, requiring 1-2 days in the office a month for purpose driven collaboration.
