Safeway Builder/Assembly

Description

Job Summary:

The Safeway Builder/Assembly operator will consist of basic level machine operation that includes working with corrugated material and the use of hand tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following but not limited to other duties that may be assigned.

· Performs basic operator duties

· Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

· Handling and building of corrugated products

· Hand tool operation

· Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

· High School Diploma/GED

· Ability to follow demonstrated directions

· Good communication skills

· Ability to read written instruction

Physical Demands:

· Should be able to lift, push, and pull up to 55lbs.

· Stand/Walk for full shift (8-12 hours)

· Bend/Twist

· Ability to work with both hands on a constant basis
