FRESH PLANT: 1st Shift Labeling Lines 5-7 Scaler Labor PR02

Job Details:

Pay is $16.45 per hour.

1st shift approximately 7:30 AM till 5:30 PM Overtime as needed.

I.          ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
 

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to: checking the net weight of the completed trays of thighs.

The Scaler removes the trays of thighs from the take-away belt conveyor. Weighs the trays Adds or removes pieces of thighs from the trays as necessary to meet the weight range. Checks for bones, skin, and downgrade product. Places the trays back onto the take-away belt conveyor. Must be able to work in damp/cool conditions. Must be able to perform all other duties as assigned by management and group leaders.

II.        MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
 

Must be able to climb up and down stairs to get to and from their work stations. Must be able to stand the duration of shift approximately an average of 8 hours. Bending, twisting and turning body from side to side to see and keep up with product. Must be able to use a gripping motion with right hand to pick up fillet. Packers are expected to perform repetitive motions of the hands and wrists that involve gripping, at a rapid pace of work. Must have good hand/eye coordination to safely conduct job
 

III.      TYPES OF EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO OPERATE FOR THE POSITION
 

Gloves and water proof boots. Gram Scale

Must wear PPE ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair bonnet and beard guard.
