We build solid relationships with research communities to ensure we offer exciting, interesting, and thought-provoking content</p><p></p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p></p><p>As an In-House Senior Editor, you will oversee the creation and publication of original content. You will take ownership for overseeing submissions and quality peer reviews to ensure we publish high-quality content. You will build global relationships with people and institutes in the medical and research.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Arranging peer review and commissioning content;</p></li><li><p>Scanning medical literature and news to keep up-to-date with developments;</p></li><li><p>Attending conferences and academic meetings, along with laboratory and institutional visits;</p></li><li><p>Writing editorials, commissioning reviews and commentaries and publishing correspondence to build the journal’s profile among the communities we serve;</p></li><li><p>Subediting material from all sections of our journal to improve clarity of expression and to conform to journal style;</p></li><li><p>Suggesting and helping to develop new initiatives for future developments and enhancements to our journal.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li><p>Have a Medical degree with clinical experience or PhD in related field with postdoctoral experience;</p></li><li><p>Demonstrate great knowledge of biological and medical sciences;</p></li><li><p>Have an exceptional command of the English language and the ability to write in an engaging and interesting manner;</p></li><li><p>Be able to communicate and negotiate constructively with members of the medical profession, the media and colleagues;</p></li><li><p>Have proficiency with IT systems including MS Office;</p></li><li><p>Enjoy collaborating with teams to deliver successful projects and initiatives on-time;</p></li><li><p>Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders, teams and our community;</p></li><li><p>Be able to travel to internationally for meetings and conferences.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work in a way that works for you</b></p><p></p><p>We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
