Come join us and help advance state-of-the-art network intelligence, analytics, and security!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About Role</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a talented<strong> Senior Systems Engineer (SRE/DevOps)</strong> to join our team and help improve our internal and product infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate is passionate about maintaining great infrastructure. We treat our systems seriously and you should expect to build well designed systems that runs with a high up-time.</p> <p>Our internal tools are used to fulfill the unique requirements of developing a world class DDoS mitigation software. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain tools that maintain production cloud environments, and internal operations. You should be comfortable working with both <strong>scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), </strong>cloud infrastructure (<strong>AWS, GCP</strong>), and <strong>Linux (Ubuntu).</strong><br/> </p> <ul> <li>Own new solutions from prototyping through deployment</li> <li>Automate All the Things</li> <li>Work closely with other groups to diagnose, solve, and prevent system problems</li> <li>Provide subject matter expertise during design sessions and technical reviews</li> <li>Support and foster cross team communication with a focus on resolving issues with a sense of urgency</li> <li>Participate in a Pager Duty rotation to support what you build <br/> </li> </ul> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrable expertise with Linux systems (you adore the command line!).</li> <li>Git and day to day git from the shell.</li> <li>Experience with one or more configuration management platforms, such as SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, etc.</li> <li>Python and shell scripting experience</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>It would also be nice if you had:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) role</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Github Actions)</li> <li>Performance tuning experience (Linux, postgres, etc)</li> <li>Interest and/or experience with cloud providers and technologies (AWS, GCP and Terraform)</li> <li>Networking knowledge (UDP/TCP/IP, IPSEC, IPv4, IPv6, BGP)</li> <li>Software packaging and distribution experience (building debians/rpms or other software distribution mechanisms)</li> <li>Experience in troubleshooting large-scale complex systems from a reliability and scalability perspective</li> <li>Familiarity with principles and practices of infrastructure and application monitoring<br/><br/> </li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b><span>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br/> </span></b><span><br/> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
