Cloud Migration Lead

Responsibilities:

• Liaison with SME’s to understand Server Migration requirements from source to destination
• Work with technical SME’s in creating a mapping between source and target systems.
• Expertise in designing, deploying AWS solutions
• Prepare migration plans including migration risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details.
• Develop, maintain, standards and operational procedures to ensure a smooth migration to target system
• Review the work packages developed by team to deliverables are meeting customer requirements
• Oversee technical documentation for all steps required for the migration efforts.
• Support go-live effort

Requirements

• Proficient in the principles and practices of Cloud architecture.
• Expertise in architecting and operating solutions built on AWS.
• Expertise in leading discussions with customers for designing AWS Cloud solutions.
• Expertise in discovering, assessing, planning, and migrating on-prem workloads to AWS Cloud.
• Experience with architecting and designing for Resiliency, High-Availability, and Scalability on AWS Cloud.
• Experience in designing Cross Region Disaster Recovery solutions on AWS Cloud.
• Expertise in AWS Cloud technologies including but not limited to VPC, IAM, EC2, RDS, ECS, EKS, EFS, FSx, S3, ELB, ALB, Route53, CloudTrail and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in AWS Connectivity technologies such as Direct Connect, Managed VPN, VPN CloudHub, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink and VPC Peering.
• Good understanding of MGN, DMS, SCT and AWS Migration factory services
• Experience with hybrid Cloud environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux operating systems.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisors.
• Expertise in general Network and WAN technologies.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification

Preferred requirements:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification
• Experience in Python scripting and Shell scripting a plus.
• Experience in CloudFormation and TerraForm a plus
