Shipping Coordinator (No Post Conversion Temp to Perm)

PowerSecure is actively seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our Durham, NC Team. This individual will be responsible for managing the daily shipping and close-out schedule, ensuring equipment is shipped in a timely a safe manner according to the close-out criteria. They are also responsible for processing transfers/ shipments in IFS and creating closeout and shipping labels. The main focus of this position is to ensure that items shipped out of the facility have a Shop Order that is closed and that the equipment is in the proper condition to meet customer requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Must be onsite to work
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• ERP experience is a plus
• Experience in a shipping and receiving manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have good computer skills, knowledge of MS Office
• Solid knowledge of inventory control
• Good understanding of logistics procedures
• Good understanding of reporting
• Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving abilities
• Motivated and organized team player with a positive attitude

Essential Functions

• Use IFS to track, check and prioritize Product Close Out and Shipping.
• Prepare reception area to receive incoming cargo
• Direct the flow of packages after shipment
• Inspect labels and other features of completed orders
• Ensure compliance to safety regulations and company policies
• Report to management on activities and issues
• Pick and deliver customer order IFS
• Follow up the Shop order status
• Transfer finish good to a picking location
• Transfer Eng. and Alternator between Bldgs.
• Create transport task to move finished goods between buildings
• Check stickers / labels inventory
• Create rating/switch Labels
• All other duties as assigned.
