Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Enterprise Product Security Engineering (PSE) Functional Office is seeking an experienced, independent, highly motivated Product Security Engineering Developer (Associate, Mid-Level or Senior) to join our Centralized Engineering Innovation Development team. This is a hybrid position located in team located in Hazelwood, MO; Arlington, VA; El Segundo, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; Mountain View, CA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Colorado Springs, CO; or Titusville, FL.

A Product Security Engineer within Innovation Development designs, develops, and delivers new capabilities for use across the Boeing Enterprise working with complex solutions that include information technology, embedded systems, and other non-IT cyber-physical system components. You will be joining a team of advanced cybersecurity engineers who are jointly developing new tools, techniques, best practices, and a community to engage with to deliver best value to security, resiliency, and safety of our products. In this position you will have the opportunity to influence the future of Boeing products working within the fields of Cybersecurity Testing Environments, Advanced Cybersecurity Assessments, and Cybersecurity and Resiliency Tooling. 

A successful candidate will highlight their interest and technical knowledge in engineering, software development, systems security, functional testing, as well as transition to program use. Candidates will highlight their experience working in team environments, managing the interrelationships of teams through emotional intelligence insights, and communicating difficult technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience and expertise. They are also detail-oriented, highly motivated, independent, and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary project and environment. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to Product Security Engineering Innovation development of capabilities 

  • Designing and implementing virtual infrastructure solutions to enable cybersecurity relevant testing 

  • Developing and configuring virtualization artifacts and security recommendations using Industry Standard Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code. 

  • Developing innovative software capabilities to secure Boeing products using DevSecOps pipelines and automation 

  • Guiding architecture design and recommendations for customer virtualization requirements 

  • Analyzing and Problem-Solving complex software architectures and inter-system communication 

  • Innovating new software-based capabilities to secure software containers from internal and external cyber-attacks by being able to detect, respond, and recover without human intervention or mission degradation  

 

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software

  • Hands on experience with Cloud containers

  • Experience in engineering, computer science and/or cybersecurity

  • Experience with Vulnerability assessment and/or Penetration test

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices
