The Global Ethics & Compliance Manager is a critical leader in ensuring our ethical culture and business integrity remain strong.  You will ensure potential Code of Conduct violations are investigated and remediated thoroughly, working closely with HR and legal and play a significant role in the ongoing transformation of our internal E&C investigation process!

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of our global investigations program, strengthen our organizational justice, and provide proactive insights to mitigate future risks 

  • Understanding of Colgate’s Code of Conduct and the policies and practices that support the Code while ensuring a consistent investigations program and strategy is utilized for all investigations across the organization

  • Oversee the review of allegations and complaints of employee misconduct, leading investigations to determine if the allegations have been substantiated, providing confidential reports on investigations with recommendations on punitive and restorative actions for any substantiated misconduct, and maintenance of the case management system and other analytical databases

  • Managing our global investigators program which includes recruiting, training, assigning, coaching & assessing a global pool of 100+ investigators

  • Handle the investigation data and trend analysis, root cause solutioning, and identifying best practices so that long-term solutions can be developed and applied

  • Conduct analysis on data from the case management system to identify areas of risk, reporting trends, opportunities for continuous improvement, etc. (This information is used for the development of the quarterly and year-end reports that go to the Audit Committee, CEO, Chairman and President and members of senior staff)

  • Analyze and recommend improvements to investigative processes, case tracking, data and reporting, and techniques in a scalable, consistent way

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors Degree

  • 8+ years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, or Legal 

  • Extremely high sense of integrity, impartiality, and fairness and make fact-based decisions unimpeded by bias

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills vital to explain complex and/or confidential information and communicate with all levels of management on proprietary information

  • Ensure consistency with regard to disciplinary practices and guidance while serving as a trusted consultant and business partner with other functions such as Global Legal Organization, Human Resources, Global People Relations

  • Effective interpersonal skills in order to investigate and resolve complaints and allegations including drafting investigation reports;  communicate and address inquiries about Code of Conduct guidelines; articulate and execute aspects of investigation-related program strategy; develop and deliver related training as appropriate

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing employee relations issues and/or experience as an Investigator/participation in investigation planning

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks & projects

  • Ability to develop effective and constructive solutions 

  • Excellent analytical, project management and organizational skills

  • Listen with empathy while gathering detailed information related to sensitive issues

  • Excellent at developing positive relationships with partners across the organization


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $120,000.00 - $168,500.00 USD
