You will collaborate closely with our experienced silicon photonics designers who have a proven track record of delivering innovative photonic device designs and large-scale silicon photonics circuits.   If you're ready to take on a new challenge and make a significant contribution to the future of silicon photonics, then we want you on our team!<br/>  <p><br/><strong>What you will learn and contribute to</strong></p>   <p>Join our team as a Silicon Photonics Design Engineer and take on the following exciting challenges:</p> <p>• Lead or support the design of cutting-edge high-speed active and passive photonic devices and complex photonic integrated circuits and systems.</p> <p>• Develop innovative design approaches and push the boundaries of device-level design and system-level optimization.</p> <p>• Work closely with our fab partners to ensure seamless integration of our designs into production.</p> <p>• Drive test development and perform data analysis of your devices, linking design with measurement to ensure optimal performance.</p> <p>• Collaborate with all functional teams in the organization to deliver co-designed and co-optimized photonics systems, contributing to the success of our projects.</p> <p><br/><br/> </p> <strong>Your skills and experience</strong> <p>You have:<br/>• Ph.D. in electrical engineering / physics / applied physics / similar quantitative fields.<br/>• Solid programming skills in Python or C/C++. <br/>• Good understanding of general concepts in physics, especially in optics or electromagnetics. <br/>• Solid understanding of general concepts in fiber optics and integrated optics. <br/>• Experience with designing or characterizing silicon photonic or other integrated optical/optoelectronic devices or circuits. <br/>• You are fluent in spoken and written English<br/>• Good communication skills<br/> </p> It would be nice if you had: <br/>• Proficiency with optics design tools, such as Lumerical.<br/>• Solid numerical and physics-related programming skills. <br/>• Experience with high-frequency design and modeling. <br/>• Experience in TCAD modeling. <br/>• Experience with epitaxial growth and design. <br/>• Experience with controls theory and implementation.<br/><br/>  <p></p> <p><b><span>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br/> </span></b><span><br/> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
