Job Summary

The Catering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the execution of catered events and  operations, ensuring all service standards, timelines, and guest expectations are met. This role leads frontline team members, coordinates with multiple departments, and ensures events are executed seamlessly from setup through breakdown.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise catering attendants, bartenders, and support staff during events

Execute all events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and operational standards

Oversee event setup, ensuring accuracy in layout, décor, equipment, and service flow

Monitor service during events to ensure quality, professionalism, and timeliness

Act as the primary point of contact for team members during assigned events

Support bar operations including setup, inventory oversight, and compliance with alcohol service standards

Address and resolve guest concerns or service issues in real time

Ensure all team members are in proper uniform, on time, and delivering excellent service

Assist with staffing, delegating responsibilities, and adjusting coverage as needed

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in all service areas

Oversee breakdown, equipment return, and post-event reset

Leadership Responsibilities

Provide clear direction and communication to team members before and during events

Coach and support team members to maintain high performance and accountability

Reinforce company policies, service standards, and expectations

Partner with Operations Managers and Culinary teams to ensure smooth execution

Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and a guest-first mindset

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in catering, hospitality, or event operations (lead or supervisory experience preferred)

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Knowledge of food & beverage service, including bar operations (preferred)

Ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly under pressure

Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays"
