Job Description

Job Duties:
30% - Designs, develops, and optimizes database schemas and implementation to meet system requirements for two-photon calcium imaging and RNA sequencing experiments.


20% - Integrates databases with custom frameworks and applications, such as the Python-based "REACHER" framework for data acquisition.


20% - Develops and maintains RESTful APIs using tools like FastAPI for remote experiment management and secure data access.


10% - Implements database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.


10% - Implements and optimizes new data analysis pipelines for calcium imaging and RNA sequencing datasets.


5% - Prepares and presents datasets and associated software in a clear and concise manner


5% - Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and two years work experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support, or the support of database management systems. A bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
