Part Time positions available! Shift work with holidays is required. New Pay Range: $24.32 - $34.09 per hour based on experience and qualifications (eligible for shift differentials). Shift Differentials:

Weekday Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $3.00 per hour

Weekend Days - Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - $3.50 per hour

Weekend Nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $5.00 per hour


The Medical Technologist performs routine and complex tests in the medical laboratory to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and/or injury. Provides developmentally appropriate patient assessment in the process of laboratory functions to all populations (neonatal, geriatrics, etc.).

Requirements

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution. One year of previous work experience in a laboratory setting is required. Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.


• Draws blood from patient’s finger or vein, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample.

• Conducts quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine and spinal fluid.

• Performs blood count, wbc differentials and urine microscopics.

• Performs microbiology procedures. Conducts blood tests for transfusion purposes.

• Orders patient tests and reports test results through proper reporting system.

• Performs and records quality control as required.

• Prepares solutions, standard reagents necessary for patient testing.

• Displays appropriate judgment when dealing with problems associated with patient care and/or abnormal results.
