ABOUT THE JOB

Tepa Companies is seeking a Project Manager to manage small to large-scale, multi-year environmental remediation projects for various federal agencies. As a project manager, you will manage the technical and administrative aspects of environmental remediation projects under CERCLA, RCRA and/or state regulatory programs. You will also be responsible for technical quality, client relationships, schedules, budgets, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.  

Essential Job Functions:

• Management of the investigation/characterization, remedial design, remedy implementation/construction, operations and maintenance and/or long-term monitoring phases of the CERCLA, RCRA Corrective Action or state regulatory program processes. 
• Meeting project scope, schedule, budget requirements.
• Directing, managing, and leading project teams to meet project objectives in-line with company and customer quality expectations.
• Communicating effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, and company management.
• Effectively manage project risks and develop mitigation approaches and strategies.
• Supporting business development efforts, including leading or supporting proposal efforts.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or other license relevant to the environmental field or eligibility to obtain registration within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of environmental remediation experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing investigation and remediation projects under CERCLA, RCRA Corrective Action and/or state regulatory programs.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects for federal clients.
• Experience with performance based contracting and both firm-fixed price and cost-plus fixed fee cost structures.
• Excellent time management and organization skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and keep organized to ensure timely and accurate work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team setting and individually.
• Strong self-motivation and initiative.
• Understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
• Experience with the following environmental remediation practice areas:
  • Various multi-media Investigative techniques to include high resolution site characterization (HRSC).
  • Screening levels and the risk assessment process.
  • Identification and selection of remedial technologies and approaches.
  • Remedy implementation to include remedial construction and various in-situ and ex-situ treatment technologies.
  • Investigation and/or remediation of PFAS impacted sites.
