Responsibilities

• Leverage extensive betting market experience to deliver best-in-class sportsbook trading life cycle.  
• Monitor and manage trade decisions in real time on designated pre and live in-play markets. 
• Recognize and manage escalations of real time trading issues with fitting urgency and discretion. 
• Consistently deliver accurate and justifiable risk management decisions with long run outlook. 
• Communicate effectively with various Sportsbook support functions. 
• Be able to apply best practice odds compilation methods, aligned to our philosophy, to discover optimal closing lines pregame and live in-play price positions on US sports and leagues. 
• Primary focus on our most liquid and high demand leagues and markets 
• Provide expert advice to trading leadership and team members as it pertains to odds and risk 
• Offer expert judgement and experience in making and guiding high value bet acceptance decisions 
• Share expertise with inexperienced traders to help them develop and create an environment where they can operate with increasing confidence to optimize BetMGM margins. 
• Be responsible for Gross Gaming Revenue and Margin performance at a league & market level. 
• Support acquisition and retention through collaboration with promotions, CRM, content, partners, and other stakeholders by delivering compelling special offers (e.g., Odds Boosts). 
• Assist people leaders in monitoring performance of inexperience traders, helping leaders set effective performance targets and indicators. 
• Correspond with compliance on new market requests and approvals 
• Liaise with Trading Operations and Support to optimize offering and ensure compliant setups. 
• Create unique selling points of difference and competitive advantage in our market offerings. 

Essential Functions

• Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

Qualifications  

• 5+ years’ experience in a Sports Trader role 
• Intimate knowledge of Sports betting is essential 
• Strong numerical and mathematical skills 
• Ability to influence others 
• Ability to focus  
• Ability to work shifts which include evenings, weekends, and public holidays. 
• Excellent knowledge of the rules of the game for all sports 
• Excellent knowledge of the betting industry. 
• Commercial mindset 

Licensing RequirementsAs an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.  Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies.  Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.  Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

The annual salary range for this position is $78,160 to $102,585.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan. 

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
 
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.  Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional a
