The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Dell Medical School is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Program Integration. This position will play a key role in interpreting and analyzing complex data sets to provide valuable insights and inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data visualization techniques, understanding clinic program improvement and integration and the ability to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The Senior Data Analyst, Program Integration will balance shifting priorities, cultivate highly collaborative partnerships with leadership and high-clinicians level management of programs, and use consistently good judgment. This position has an end date of 8/31/25, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward program goals.

A flexible working arrangement agreement can be accommodated based upon the needs of the program and with supervisor approval. This position may require occasional work on-site for some of the scheduled work week. Remote work will require reliable internet access and a suitable, private workspace free from distractions.

Purpose

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Operations and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, the Senior Data Analyst, Program Integration will provide data leadership of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science’s Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health division (CABH) and Texas Child Mental Health Clinical Programs (TCMHCP) including Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT), Child and Perinatal Psychiatry Access Networks (CPAN/PeriPAN), the Child Psychiatry Workforce Expansion (CPWE) and other similar initiatives and programs. This position will provide leadership, consultation, presentation, and a systems/structures approach to ensure that the necessary data systems, policies, and supports available to understand and improve the quality of Dell Medical School and Texas Child Mental Health Clinical programs goals. The Senior Data Analyst, Program Integration, will develop and implement data management strategies and structures to support successful implementation, evaluation, growth and sustainment of behavioral health programs serving students, families, schools, and medical providers across Central Texas. 

Responsibilities

• Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management, stakeholders and colleagues to understand business needs, define strategies, identify opportunities and address key challenges. Provide advanced analysis of existing data and structures, consultation, interpretation, and presentation of complex data environments. Develop innovative data-driven solutions for strategic decision-making and business growth.

• Clinical Program Integration & Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness, impact, and use of clinical programs and present to requesting stakeholders. Analyze program performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and outcome measures to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of data analysts and data management technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor progress to ensure timely and successful project completion. Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development efforts for the data team. Supervise full-time staff and student assistants.

• Technical Expertise: Perform and review complex (senior-level) data analysis and data research work. Provide advanced analysis of existing data and satisfies ad-hoc reporting/analysis requests; serve as a first point of escalation for leadership. 

• Quality Assurance/Compliance: Oversee regular reviews and audits to identify and address data integrity issues. Define, develop, and implement data and reporting standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of analytical findings and deliverables. Implement necessary changes to ensure data quality improvement.
