Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Program Evaluation Coordinator, Clinical Education - Boca Raton, FL.
 

Summary of Responsibilities:

As part of the Office of Program Evaluation and Assessment (OPEA), the Program Evaluation Coordinator, Clinical Education develops and implements an integrated, systematic approach to evaluate the College of Medicine’s Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program, inclusive of co- and extra-curricular activities, and makes actionable information available to the College’s educational team to facilitate continuous quality improvement of the educational experience for students and the instructional activities of the faculty. To fulfill these duties, under the direction of the Director, OPEA, and in coordination with appropriate course and clerkship directors, the Program Evaluation Coordinator, Clinical Education will:

  • Create and maintain evaluation plans and timelines for all course-related, clerkship-related, teaching-related, and student-related evaluations and their date of release for assigned phases.

  • Create and beta test prior to release, all approved new and/or modified course-related, clerkship-related, teaching-related, and student-related evaluations for assigned phases and research-related evaluations as necessary.

  • Monitor evaluation completion rates by assigned deadlines and follow established notification protocols for late or incomplete evaluations.  

  • Facilitate the data-informed decision making of the College’s committees, course and/or clerkship directors, department chairs, and leadership to fulfill LCME accreditation requirements by coordinating implementation of data collection and reporting mechanisms, including necessary quantitative and qualitative analysis, of

    • student feedback on the faculty teaching for courses and/or clerkships,

    • student peer-to-peer feedback to facilitate life-long learning and improvement,

    • student feedback of individual courses and special activities,

    • faculty evaluations of student performance in assigned phases, including student performance on an individual and comparative basis using quantitative and narrative feedback,

    • faculty peer-to-peer feedback on faculty teaching, and

    • other feedback mechanisms as they become necessary to meet UME program evaluation and assessment goals.

  • Provide technical support to all users of the College of Medicine’s evaluations systems, including but not limited to the creation and maintenance of faculty and student profiles, creating and maintaining groups to facilitate correct evaluation distribution, updating user permissions, and troubleshooting for any issues as needed.

  • Participate, as directed, in events and activities that support the Office of Medical Education and the Office of Student Affairs such as, but not limited to, student-related events, faculty/staff-related events, proctoring exams, and OSCEs.

  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Director, OPEA.
