Summary
The HR Generalist will deliver value added service to employees and management that supports the
company’s business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary human resources contact for employees
- Provides guidance on the interpretation of human resources policies and practices
- Reviews and maintains departmental policies on a regular basis
- Creates and maintains departmental standard operating procedures
- Develop and maintain job description bank
- Facilitates new hire orientation
- Assist HR Business Partners via:
- Creates requisitions
- Conducts exit interviews
- Processes resignations
- Participates in compensation analyses
- Supports employee relations investigations
- Reviews employee survey data and analyzes trend
- Promotes and implements programs to increase employee engagement
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of human resources experience in any of the functional areas; talent acquisition, benefits administration, compensation, training and development, employee relations, labor relations, etc. Relevant experience may be substituted for education requirement
- Must be a team player
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong problem solving ability
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to deal with sensitive employee relations matters and maintain strict confidentiality
- Detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills
- Ability to travel and work overtime if necessary
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
