Position: Sr Procurement Center of Excellence Leader
Primary Location: Home based, USA
Reports to: Vice President, Supply Chain & Customer Services
Compensation: $160,000 - $170,000 USD+ bonus, + benefits (salaried, exempt)

About This Role and You
The Sr Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader is responsible for establishing and driving a high-performing procurement function through the development and deployment of best practices, digital tools, data analytics, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as a strategic enabler for the Chemtrade procurement organization, building capabilities, ensuring process consistency, and supporting category and sourcing teams to deliver measurable business value.
The role will be key member of the procurement leadership team and brings strategic thinking to establish a long-term vision for procurement, focused on people, process and technology. The role is responsible for the development and oversight of the annual objectives and metrics aligned to the strategy to support corporate growth objectives while strengthening the business core to develop and maintain a competitive advantage.
The incumbent will also drive key initiatives, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, leading cross-functional project teams. Success in this role demands a strong strategic and analytical orientation coupled with exceptional communication skills as well as a highly developed collaborative nature
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field with minimum 15 years of experience including at least 10 years leadership in supply chain / procurement
· Experience in Chemical Industry is preferred
· Self-starter who can demonstrate a high level of energy and urgency
· Training and/or experience in either six sigma or lean manufacturing processes and experience a plus
· Deep understanding of procurement processes, category management, and supplier relationship management.
· Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Ariba).
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
· Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change.
· Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
Responsibilities
Procurement Excellence
· In alignment with the Procurement Director, establish and execute the 3 – 5 year procurement vision and multi-generational plan with annual deliverables/objectives clearly defined across components such as People, work process, and technologies. Work collaboratively across Leadership Teams and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment · Monitor/track the progress against the defined multi-generation plan, ensuring appropriate projects/action are in place to support each objective. Identify resourcing needs to deliver against plan – both with the function and in other functional teams where needed. · Procurement focal point for delivering on annual procurement productivity targets – providing governance across procurement to ensure robust project pipeline, monitoring and reporting · Lead specific strategic initiatives as needed to enable transformation of the “way we work” across Source to Pay work process · Responsible to establish written work processes for Source to Pay; conduct gap analysis and identify action plans to evolve from AS IS to TO-BE · Provide subject matter expertise and functional leadership for the implementation of new technologies, such as ERP systems and automation tools, to streamline workflows and improve user experience. · Responsible to establish robust data governance and repor
