Summer 2025 Software Engineer Intern

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking an enthusiastic Computer Science intern to join our Innovation Engineering Group.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with full stack technologies to solve exciting and challenging technical problems leveraging the Azure stack of services.  This is a chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the evolution of solutions offered.  The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn and a willingness to take on new challenges.  The intern can expect clear goals and defined tasks, but also to have room to focus on their own areas of interest within the topic.

 

What You’ll Do

• Be an active member of the recently established Innovation Engineering Group working closely with other Software Engineers
• Author code implementing full stack solutions across React, MUI, TypeScript, C#, WebApi, Azure SQL, and additional Azure services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs to incorporate them into the solution set
• Participate in daily standups
• Complete required corporate trainings to ensure compliance and quality standards

What We Expect from You

• Computer Science major or equivalent
• Completion of at minimum Sophomore year at the start of the internship
• Hybrid work environment based out of Fargo, ND
• Passion for learning and taking on new challenges
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with others
• Some experience with CI/CD, version control systems such as Git, Azure DevOps is a plus
• Be relationship-oriented and enjoy working with different groups of people and helping define and solve problems
• Be comfortable working in a hybrid environment with staff in multiple locations and work environments
• Be comfortable managing time when given defined tasks and goals
• Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
