Position Description:
Network Runners is seeking a Transition Assistance Administrative Specialist/Data Automation (TAAS/DA) to support the United States Air Force, Nellis Air Force Base, Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC).


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs initial interview and screening of customers to determine their admin and/or Transition needs and goals and provides appropriate referral to other staff members as required.
  • Advises and determines eligibility regarding enrollment in TAP workshops. Schedule customers for appropriate workshops and refers to M&FRC staff when needed.
  • Reception: Assists with customer service. Based upon knowledge of the organization and its programs and operations, answers non-technical requests for information. Refers customers and telephone callers to appropriate staff members for technical information.
  • Promptly and courteously receives, greets and answers questions from customers and telephone calls.
  • Properly screens TAP customers and refers those contacts needing staff attention.
  • Maintains a positive professional image and working relationships with the public, clients, and M&FRC staff members. Schedules appointments for visitors with counselors/staff.
  • Maintains publicity materials & required TAP forms.
  • Clerical: Provides direct clerical, administrative and other support to the Transition Assistance Program IAW -AFI 36 3009.
  • Enrolls eligible military and civilian personnel in M&FRC workshops via AFFIRST.
  • Inputs customers into AFFIRST and updates members data for accountability, ensuring confidentiality is protected.
  • The TAAS/DA will prepare, maintain and distribute official letters/emails and respond to all correspondence within 48 hours.
  • The TAAS/DA will prepare, maintain and update AFFIRST workshops.
  • Initiates and processes necessary paperwork associated with TAP or related services.
  • Assists in the reservation, opening and securing of classrooms, and conference rooms.
  • Provides administrative support in the preparation, delivery, and follow-up with staff POC.
  • Produces accurate, up-to-date reports, meeting agendas, weekly staff meeting minutes and inventories as required.
  • Accurately and properly submits documentation required for various administrative actions within AFFIRST.
  • Completes all provided training as required to access required systems and perform TAP administrative duties.
  • Performs general clerical duties to include mail collection/sorting/distribution, filing, photocopying, collating and securing/stapling documents, etc.
  • Assists with all administrative duties, to include scheduling workshops, completing AFFIRST entries, sending workshop reminders, Vow report, creating calendars etc.

Qualifications – Must Have:
  • Minimum of high school diploma.
  • Two years of office work experience in government or commercial setting with excellent customer service skills and attitude.
  • Must be knowledgeable of work processing functions to support office operations and produce a variety of textural documents such as letters, reports, memos and forms.
  • The TAAS/DA shall be knowledgeable and skilled in the following areas:
    • Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
    • AFFIRST and Air Force standards in Office Automation.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
