About the Role:
Furniture Mart in New Orleans East is looking for a passionate and driven Retail Furniture Sales Consultant to join our team! In this role, you'll help customers find the perfect pieces to transform their homes while building lasting relationships and hitting exciting sales goals. If you love design, people, and the thrill of closing a great deal, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage customers on the showroom floor to understand their furniture and home décor needs
- Guide customers through product selections, offering expert advice on style, function, and value
- Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets and performance metrics
- Process sales transactions accurately, including financing options and delivery scheduling
- Maintain thorough knowledge of current inventory, promotions, and new product arrivals
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized, visually appealing showroom
Requirements:
- Previous retail sales experience preferred; furniture or home furnishings experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for point-of-sale and inventory systems
