Job Title: Quality Customer Repair Technician
Location: Onsite at Customer
Shift Hours: 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM, Overtime Required
Number of Positions Needed: 1
- Overview:
As a Quality Customer Repair Technician, you will be assigned to a Company van that will be utilized to transport parts/tools required to service the customer. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring the quality of repair tasks while representing the plant to the customer. Requiring, strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities utilizing tools for the aid of the root cause process such as, the 5-Whys and the implementation of corrective actions. Additionally, you will coordinate with management to set up containments, train personnel, and communicate details to supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection and repair tasks in accordance with internal quality standards.
- Address customer concerns and effectively communicate issues to both customers and Lear representatives.
- Conduct root cause analyses using the 5-why process to identify underlying issues.
- Assist management in setting up containments and implementing corrective actions.
- Keep accurate and detailed documentation on repairs, including root cause analyses and corrective actions taken.
- Coordinate warranty returns and ensure compliance with return procedures.
- Manage inspectors at the customer and stay updated on all processes and programs at the customer's processing center and Lear.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
Key Duties:
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all assembly roles, responsibilities, and procedures.
- Familiarity with HMMA specifications and adherence to quality requirements.
- Manually record daily findings and repairs, ensuring comprehensive documentation for each seat.
- Flexibility to work weekends, including Saturday and/or Sunday if required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills utilizing tools for the aid of the root cause process such as, the 5-Whys and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to effectively communicate with customers and Lear representatives.
- Ability to work productively with little supervision within a diverse work environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines accurately.
- Safety-conscious mindset and a good safety record.
- Valid Driver License.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments with changing climate conditions.
- Work within the cabin of the vehicles.
