Description
This position requires the employee to reside in Washington, Oregon, Montana, or Idaho
YOUR PURPOSE
Perform compliance, operational, financial and ad-hoc, risk-based audits for the credit union in accordance with the annual audit plan. Review records, documents, loans, policies and procedures, financial and operational processes to identify internal controls. Perform testing on identified controls, document and report your conclusions to the Lead auditor. Will assist with other audit functions and support various projects across the organization. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and commitment to CORE Values.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Independently completing workpapers assigned by the Lead Auditor, including all testing functions, including, but not limited to:
- Obtaining documentation, performing walk-through meetings, and testing evidence for audit objectives.
- Responsible for appearance and completeness of work papers and maintaining documentation standards in accordance with the IA manual and the IIA professional standards.
- Making determinations of compliance with policies, procedures, and related laws and regulations.
- Documenting work paper conclusions and following all IIA documentation standards regarding evidence to support work paper conclusions.
- Proper identification of control exceptions and findings with timely communication to the Lead Auditor.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes, actively improve skills for education credits, and enhance certifications for Audit Department value.
- Updating departmental risk assessment and control matrixes based on information gathered during the completion of the audit.
- Independent time management to ensure work is performed within reasonable timeframes that align with budgeted hours per audit.

The full pay range for this position across all the states in which we hire is $25.24-$38.36. The figures shown represent the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education, and skill level.
