Utility Service Delivery Project Specialist (Remote)

The Utility Service Delivery Project Specialist is responsible for supporting the Service Delivery department. Additionally, this role supports the team with various tasks, including, but not limited to: processing utility power orders, submitting permitting for construction projects, coordinate shipping of materials, assigning and tracking project deliverables, monitoring deadlines, and providing regular and timely reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create utility power orders and update necessary tracking system(s) to ensure that project and/or program status is maintained with complete accuracy, including third party management systems.
2. Use independent discretion to review contracts, provide feedback and guidance to supervisor and Legal regarding contractual obligations, required amendments, etc.
3. Provide direction and assign the appropriate workload to various teams, providing ongoing guidance and tracking project progress to ensure successful completion.
4. Work with Finance, Accounting and Billing department to ensure accuracy of data.
5. Track deadlines, dates for meetings and other project associated events, and expenses.
6. Create and distribute reports and other correspondence relevant to the team or program.
7. Determine, schedule and assist with preparation for various meetings.
8. Communicate all issues impacting project statuses to management prior to reaching critical status.
9. Develop and maintain accurate and complete files for projects and programs; continues to monitor for integrity and completeness.
10. Create, analyze and provide ad-hoc reports as requested.
11. Coordinate tasks and documentation of project deliverables and milestones.
12. Assist and ensure appropriate and timely response for outages and emergencies.
13. Various office management functions such as supply ordering, package shipment, event coordination and business trip planning and scheduling, timesheet review.
14. Exercise independent judgement in problem-solving and adapting to project challenges.
15. Identify challenges and proactively develop solutions.
16. Contribute to the development of project strategies aligned with organizational goals.
17. Provide input to overall business planning.
18. Make critical decisions related to project scope, timelines and resource allocation.
19. Other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Experience in electric utility industry strongly preferred
• Experience in telecommunications construction preferred
• One year experience in a business environment with project management and administrative duties
• Salesforce and Sitetracker experience a plus
• Exceptional aptitude with business correspondence, telephone skills, computer expertise including research and data analysis
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong interpersonal skills
