The Opportunity

As an Associate IT Governance Specialist, you will assist in ensuring IT operations are adhering to internal and regulatory IT controls and security baselines by conducting risk and control reviews. You will act as the liaison for IT to internal and external auditors as well as internal stakeholders during a regulatory audit. You will participate in providing the company’s security posture to consumer as requested.

Job Responsibilities

In this role as an Associate IT Governance Specialist, you will have impact on the organization through the listed responsibilities:

• Conducts internal risk/audit assessments and project/control audits, and reports on results
• Facilitates written business responses to audit findings and assists in developing mitigation plans with key stakeholders
• Assists with the development of effective remediation plans for control deficiencies
• Supports and maintains documentations of new and existing IT controls to reflect changes in the process or controls.
• Assesses audit evidence provided by internal stakeholders to determine if it meets audit objectives, ensure completeness and accuracy of testing, and does not contain unnecessary information prior to submitting to internal/external auditors
• Ensures all audit requests are logged and tracked to completion, holding appropriate parties accountable to meet deadlines.
• Participates on projects to ensure the organizations IT controls are being adequately addressed
• Address security posture inquiries from consumer and/or third parties

Minimum Qualifications

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of related experience
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an aptitude for learning new technologies
• Strong organizational skills
