Education and Experience:
- 4 Year College degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting or equivalent education and experience
- 5 to 7 years lending experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal, writing and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, credit and underwriting skills.
- Sound leadership, organizational and time-management skills.
- Complete knowledge of commercial loan policy and appropriate federal and state regulations pertinent to commercial real estate lending.
- Sound understanding of economics, commercial finance and accounting .
Tasks Performed:
- 30% Proactively maintains and services the Credit and Risk administration of assigned portfolio accounts in the commercial banking portfolio to ensure overall commercial banking portfolio performance and asset quality remains strong. When necessary, surfaces issues, proposes and collaborates with others on strategies and actions to limit risk and loss to the Bank. Meets deadlines associated with maintaining portfolio and compliance with credit and risk policies
- 30% Responsible for the structuring, underwriting, and documenting of new loans as well as loans with existing customers, including management of complex credits. Takes the lead on the internal credit process for obtaining approvals of credit proposals.
- 25% Regular client interaction to support and complement relationship manager with servicing customers and resolving issues related to both credit and other bank products including deposit, ACH, and cash management. Attends networking functions and events to establish presence in the community.
- 10% Continually develops and maintains specialized knowledge of commercial products including loans, cash management, trade services products and deposits.
- 5% Other duties as assigned.
